Texas Congressman Kevin Brady Arrested

October 11, 2005, 5:19 AM EDT

DALLAS -- U.S. Rep Kevin Brady was arrested and charged with driving under the influence while in South Dakota, according to a published report.

The Texas Republican was pulled over by a state trooper Friday night for a problem with the tail lights of his vehicle, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Authorities were waiting for results of a blood test to determine Brady's blood-alcohol level at the time of the arrest. The legal limit in South Dakota is 0.08.

The entire Repiglican world is coming down around their ears. If I was them, I'd be drinking Everclear through a freakin' straw, an' honkin' on crack through the left nostril and meth through the right. 'Cause the fun's just about over, and America may be re-enacting the pitchforks and torches scene from "Frankenstein" pretty soon.

"South Dakota?" Brady exclaimed. "What kind of a fucking country has a South Dakota? I am an American citizen and I know my rights. Call the embassy right now!"
