Okay, asking again in the GD.
I need some help reaching the DNC. Anyone have an email address or phone number for a real person? The Contact Us link on the website does no good.

We have a candidate for Texas CD 6 to run against Joe Barton--David Harris, a decorated Iraq Vet, and need to get somebody's attention.

Dr. Dean says we are running a 50 state campaign and us folks in Texas are feeling neglected by the national machine. We were solid blue for decades and will be again if we can get a little help.

10. Cute. There was a thread here about Ted Kennedy helping a
conservative Republican with Katrina evacuees. Sent email to Kennedy's site. Called the office. Spoke to three people looking for confirmation. "Yeah, we'll get back to you . . ."

I've tried the regular routes to get to these people. If you can't help, just stay off-line.

5. AMEN. You want the DCCC.
The DCCC is the org that leads the recruitment of candidates, and they are looking for people. We want to contest seriously as many as 100 Pub seats in '06, instead of the 25-30 are truly up for grabs.

We want to allow for the possibility of a landslide. You can't win if you don't run someone, and the past few cycles recruiting as been tough.

The DCCC will help with money, management, talent, etc. if they think your candidate has a shot. Do you know if any sitting elected Dems are wanting to run for that seat, because if they are, they will have the inside track on DCCC auspices.

7. Have you tried calling the Tarrant County Dem Party?
Seems like that would be a good place to start?

p.s as the other posters said, you want the DCCC, not the DNC.

8. This is one of the MAJOR weaknesses of the web page. The Republican home
page has all kinds of places to sign up for this and that, register to vote and several things that encourage participation, Dean's Website when he was running for Prez was very user friendly. The web page designer for us Dems need to learn from the Republicans and from Dean's old website.
