DU Site Awards?? Input please!

Any merit to this idea? Are we big enough? Is it even relevant? Opinions please.
We could have a DU site of the month that gets an award and everyone would be made aware of. I know sometimes we wouldn't agree but we could have a vote....Yes? No?

8. Thank you!! I used this program for local campaigns and we

use it for the Utah Democratic Progressive Caucus. I got the idea to market it when local campaigns kept asking me if I could email announcements to delegates for them. I am donating 20% to Progressive Democrats of America (and you can bet DU will see a hefty sum from me when this takes off!)!

4. Good idea.....

maybe a monthly nomination and voting process. Whichever site best furthers the cause of democracy, justice, and the american way would win.

It would alert DUers to these sites and help the sites with traffic. I'd participate. You got my vote.

based on votes/recommendations by DUers.

I just think maybe this would be a good vehicle to get some good lesser-known sites some notice and traffic, and maybe in the long run generate more revenue (people coming from their site to ours)Of course, that means we would grow alot quicker too, which could not necessarily be a good thing. I need some input from several long-term DUers (like you!)

Like some of our faves (Kos, etc.) Maybe we should make it just Blog awards? I am looking for any input you may have. If you feel it is silly that is fine too..just floating the idea.

Sounds good . Maybe we could rate different sites and assign so many stars or whatever. The more stars the higher the site is rated.

5 stars for Bartcop.
3 stars for Daily Kos
4 stars for Americablog
etc.
