The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg are working on stories that point to Vice President Dick Cheney as the target of special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's investigation into the leaking of CIA operative Valerie Plame's name.

The press corps will be bombarding him with questions on this subject.

If Bush comes out of this without proof of direct involvement, what will he say? Will he say that he didn't even know what was going on in his own administration, including the actions of his own Vice President and his personal political advisor? Even if Bush manages to escape getting dirt on himself, he will look like a complete fool who isn't aware of what's going on around him or even in control of his own White House.
