Oral Hatch lecturing lawyers in TN on CSPAN now... |
I know, I know, I shouldn't have it on, but the remote is across the room and I'm too unmotivated to go get it. Anyway he's into his whining drone about why the selection of SC judges are so political. Biggest whine is that some people want to know what judges think about certain topics before confirming them. Well, Oral, what the heck has the RR been doing all along? They want a litmus test--that the judge appointed will overturn RvW. I get sick of hearing this argument put out there. This idea that the Rs are the background by which all other aspects of society stand in relief is ridiculous and I don't know why they are never called on that notion.

1. Listening to Hatch is like hearing someone drag a fingernail across |
a blackboard. And the fake moral superiority that a lot of these politicians keep projecting is annoying as well.

2. C-span cameras spanned the audience and |
there were more empty seats than people attending.
