"Pastor Greg" - Christian Sitcom |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 06:46 AM by Roland99
ABC's Good Morning America showing clips and behind-the-scenes footage of this. Created by Greg Robbins (a born-again Hollywood type) is filming this around Pittsburgh.
He's been shopping this show for 9 years and no luck yet. So, why is ABC giving this airtime? Ron Hembree, of Cornerstone Television, bought the show.
From what I've seen of the few clips, it looks like any other horribly cheezy and un-funny sitcom from UPN or something. They've filmed it in HD but I don't think that will help much. ;)

1. Um,, this show has been on the air for YEARS.. It's called 7th Heaven |
|
Until it got totally sappy, I used to watch it:)
There are religious channels that would be interested in Pastor ted..(The show name has a smarmy sound to it, though)

3. 7th Heaven isn't that bad. It doesn't shove faith in your face. |
|
This sitcom will be all-Jesus, all-the-time.
Hokey as hell. (no pun intended) ;)

2. What's Conerstone? Who's Ron Hembree? I like Joan of Arcadia, |
|
but I could see why it didn't stick around long, even with a great cast and decent writing. The fundies were probably horrified by the references to teenage sex and suicide, and everyone else was probably watching something edgier on HBO, or just not home on Friday nights.
