AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

For my 1000th post, I have a confession to make.
I was wrong about George W. Bush. I thought he
was just an overgrown, drink and drug addled frat boy
who just didn't get it.

Harriet Miers' letter to The Shrub convinces me more than ever
that Bushism is a cult with George W. as its revered leader.

The people Bush surrounds himself with aren't just syncophants,
they are true believers who love and worship him,
especially the women. First we saw Condoleeza Rice's
slip about her "husb-". Now we have Harriet Miers gushing
over him like a groupie. This is creeping me out.

I have believed all along that George Bush is a simpleton.
The events of the past six weeks now convince me that he is
a simpleton with a vision and followers, guided by the blind
and unreasoning faith that he is doing God's work.

And the scariest part of all is that, what happens when
Bush and his followers finally realize that the jig is up
and it's time to drink the Kool-Aid?

i noticed it when he first took over the state i grew up in, Texas.

2. I"ve thought this ever since I protested before the

start of the war, when people walked by us shouting and spitting at us. One mother had her kid run up to us and shout "George Bush is the Second Coming of Christ!" That creeped me out then, and it creeps me out now.

As for people getting "messages from God"-the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported this week the sentencing of a 23 year old man for killing his parents and hacking his mother's body apart;the jury didn't buy his excuse that "God told me to do this."
