2. There was a caller just now on C-Span who was on fire |
|
He slammed Bush over Iraq, lying to the people, the enabling of his hateful agenda by repukes. He should be tried for treason and executed. He said he was neither a puke or a dem, but he was fed up with the pukes, and esp. puke.

4. Mods take note...... Please do not lock. |

We're talking about a quote regarding a legal process not mob rule or vigilante justice.
He should be tried for treason and executed.

12. well sort of the same stuff... why the trial ? |
|
if you decide that the guy has to be executed, the trial is a parody of justice...
the normal procedure is that you try somebody first. If that person is found guilty, you can decide of the punishment which includes safety for society and the possibility for the convict to better himself...
I don't believe in death penalty, not even for Saddam. So not for Bush either.
what the person is expressing on C-SPAN is nothing else than mob mentality version "soft", this probably because he is very angry.

14. I'm wishy-washy on death penalty |
|
In fact, to be honest, I don't want a death penalty either. Real fence riding here. But, for Bush, and all that has happened, I just don't feel like we have a choice. It's the only way to send the message that we REALLY are not in agreement with the actions of this admin. Horrific acts of atrocities have been done by them, to thousands of people.
Far as I can see, you go to court with the law you have. Just like going to war with the military you have. Right? In this case, I think it's true.
I don't think it would be a farce of a trial, not really, because the evidence is overwhelming and it should be easy to prove. Treason and worse. And I think, if it's the law, then he ought to be subjected to it.
Then we can change the law. When we have people in power that don't deal in death as politics as usual, maybe then we can change the law on death penalty. I fully realize that a formalized death penalty in law is not justice. I'm just not evolved enough to believe it wouldn't be justice in this case, for these murders that took down our nation. I'm bloodthirsty about it, I admit.
If they were ever worried about getting caught, they should have thought about the final consequences, maybe gone about changing the law on treason. Not like they couldn't have tried; look at everything this admin has perverted, sidestepped the intent of the law and rewritten so many words of it.
They weren't ever worried about "getting caught". Hardly our fault that thinking ahead isn't a strength of this admin.

and do it in public, after a rigged trial.
It's the only Conservative thing to do.

5. I've been saying it too |
|
Not only does the monster deserve it, but after all the US has done to the rest of the world, I'm of the opinion we've run up a debt that can only be paid in blood. I believe, if anyone EVER deserved trial and execution, many in this admin do, most especially the one man that could have put a stop to it, but didn't, for profit.
If there were EVER a reason to try a US citizen in this manner...Bush is the perfect storm.
It's the only thing that will clear us with the rest of the world, unfortunately that's really what I think. OMFG HOW many lives has he cost?? If we let Bush fly, we've accepted responsibility for his actions. I really don't think we want to do that.

8. Had they not stolen the 2004 election, I think the rest of the world |
|
may have forgiven us for his actions. INSTEAD, they see the fascist bastard put back in office to further his reign of terror! :( It will take GENERATIONS to undo what that bastard has done to our foreign relations and reputation as a "Country of peace." PISSES ME OFF! If anyone deserves to be tried for treason and executed, it's that SOB and his entire cabal.

7. wow! this stuff on C-Span is great fun to watch |
|
a nutter just phoned in to say W is a good President citing W's support of Jesus as evidence. The caller also said he was like, trying to convert to Judaism and stuff... The presenter looked as if the guy had said W is actually Christ reincarnated...ummm, yes, thanks for that.
Sheeeeesh, I hope there aren't too many of those people over there...scary!
Thanks for turning me on to the site.

10. Discussion with friends from South Africa and China yesterday: |
|
Both live her but still travel all over the world, as do their spouses. Said everyone hates Bush every where they go. Refer to him as "arrogant SOB". They picked up on that damn Bush swagger and talking down to people and authoritarian attitude and how he's ruined the economy, weakened US defenses, and placed their travelling spouses in more danger. They hate the fake religiosity.
We had a good time bashing him in the grocery store, and it isn't easy for them since they aren't US citizens, and since we are in a VERY conservative part of south Texas.

Are stories I heard of American students abroad being targeted by the locals. Being hated...just for their accent. And, it didn't matter if the students agreed with BushCo or not. Their words didn't matter, it was just the fact that they were Americans, and they had no defense for that.
It doesn't feel good to be hated. It's not going to help America, and, I don't believe we're strong enough, in any way, to believe we'll never need foreign assistance. We might need it, but we might not get it now.
Being attacked for our accent, hated for our country of origin. Can you say discrimination worldwide? Scary. All thanks to BushCo.
