Sen Murkowski R-Alaska introduces bill to divy up 9th circuit
Don't have a link on this story yet but should soon.

Conservatives have often blamed California for the court's rulings and has sought to divide the court for some time. The bill co-sponsered by Sen John Ensign R-Nev proposes to split California away from the other western states. "The court itself is overwhelmingly opposed to any split and only three of twenty four active judges are in favor of restructuring" said 9th Circuit Chief Judge Mary Schroeder

Targeting the court system has been predicted as being their (Republicans) next move in consolidating even more power.
