The Contract with the People
This how we can win in 06 and 08.

1. The Civil Liberties Watch Board
Create a group to make sure abuses of Anti-Terrorism legislation do not happen

2. Percolate Up Economics
The opposite of Trickle Down Economics. Tax the rich the most and tax the poor the least. Create an income area so the people who are seriously in poverty will pay absolutely no federal taxes.

3. Universal Care
This nation can wage a war that costs half a trillion dollars, but we can't look out for our own? This is my ultimate proposal.
We make sure that every man, woman, and child is well taken care of.

3A. The Familial Welfare Department - No family should ever be thrown out on the street or have to choose between groceries and medicine for a sick child. This will cause and advise the government as how to increase and administrate welfare. This will also help pregnant mothers who think they may need an abortion for economic reasons. The FWD will make sure that they are taken care of.

3B. Allow for continuing education programs for adults. We should not have Adult Illiteracy in America.

3C. Department of Employment. This department will help people find jobs and create a Citizen Corp.

1. NO! NO! NO! PLEASE! No "Contracts!" This is SO important!
Really, it is super-important. Thanks for your post. Great ideas. But the word "contract" should be stricken from our vocabulary when discussing them.

Please read this KOS diary for a greatexplanation as to WHY...

3. Agreed. Perhaps, "Distressed America: How to Get it Back"
or "How to give America Back to The People"

just my $0.02

Peace.

2. We can't win in any year until we can get our votes counted.
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 10:31 AM by Cyrano
As long as the thugs own the voting machines, the vote counts will be whatever they want them to be.

We got screwed in 2000, 2002 and 2004. What's going to make '06 or '08 any different?

5. This is nice and simple, catching the most important of issues.
Still many more, of course, but you nowadays things must be so simple... bummer.

Peace.
