We're asked to be careful about the types of signs we put in our yards, about what we say at the community pool, and are asked to avoid e-mails at the office which may offend some politically. It used to be that repulicans welcomed our jokes and criticisms, as they gave them the opportunity to repeat official talking points, and let them show their spin prowess. Now, it seems they have nothing to say. They're despondent. Anybody else notice? Although part of me wants to show empathy (given what I personally have felt from Monica to impeachment to 2000 to Irag to 2004), the bigger part of me wants to kick them to the curb for fucking up the greatest nation on Earth. How do you feel?

Still in power, but neutered, with all their good tricks already having been used. Even if they stay in power for another decade, increasingly they will not be able to deny the ill effects of their deeds, both ethical and monetary. They will swagger no more.

last 5 years? They need to be removed from power. Period.
