AirTran employees file to become Teamsters
AirTran Airways' last nonunion workers have moved closer to joining a union.
More than 2,400 customer service representatives, ramp workers and reservations agents with Orlando, Fla.- based AirTran (NYSE: AAI) have filed with the National Mediation Board to join the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union. Most of the workers seeking union representation are based in Atlanta at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and at an Atlanta reservation center.
Nearly 3,000 other AirTran employees already have formed unions, including 475 AirTran mechanics, stock clerks and tech training instructors.

Somebody has to force the Exec to give up those multimillion dollar annual salaries and start actually running the damn airline! The stockholders will never do it, so maybe the unions can!
