Bush will not be damaged by Fitzgerald indictments. Prove me wrong. |
|
I want to hear why (and to what extent) you believe Fitzgerald's investigation will damange the Bush junta.

today's NBC Poll Numbers indicate bush's numbers lower than they've ever been, in every category. By a margin of 9%, the public would prefer Dems to lead the country in Congress. I think the Fitz investigation has seeped into the subconsciousness of the public as: "where there's smoke, there's fire."

There could very well be no indictments at all. Fitzgerald could say unethical but not illegal. He could come out with a blistering report that stops short of calling the actions criminal. Fitzgerald is still a Republican and nobody here knows what is really in his head or heart. Remember about how many people at DU were all gaga over Mayor Nagin.

The mark of a President is the people he surrounds himself with -- to advise him, to formulate and implement his policies.
Indictments will show that Bush's response to someone daring to tell the truth about his Iraq lies (that have cost the country nearly 2000 lives and many thousands more maimed, blinded, and psychically scarred and destroyed our financial well-being)is to punish him by ruining his wife's career and jeopardizing the lives of the undercover agents that worked with her.
There will be Republicans that will continue to support Bush. They will deny that he bears any measure of blame. But most thinking people will know otherwise. Some of these people will remember and vote their memories.

7. If Rove and/or Libby are indicted |
|
or seriously implicated it only leaves Andy Card to organize the White House. While Card is fairly accomplished at running some aspects of the scrub machine he is not trusted by many on the far right (especially the religious right) as Rove is. Cheney becomes an almost non-player, as "Guilt by Association" would probably finish him as a serious player. The theory being, "Card was his right hand man. Cheney had to know. And if he didn't...he should have known." Lastly, where it really damages the scrub, is, that if he never knew any of this, it strengthens our position that, "He never really has been in charge. He's just a figure head who could not effectively run a Burger King, much less the White House."

Donning tinfoil hat.....
What if Fitzgerald discovers that Bushco already knew the Niger documents were false.....and so Cheney goes to the CIA for a shake down on this.....and the CIA sends Wilson.....and Cheney - NOT HAPPY that Wilson is going determines to drag out something on Wilson - JUST IN CASE Wilson does not follow the predetermined threat scenario.....
And Wilson did not follow the scenario painted by the administration, which triggered Cheney mudslinging - or outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame.
What if Fitgerald finds out that??? Because there is allot we do not know and why is Fitzgerald focussing on an earlier meeting with Libby and Miller - earlier than Wilson's report? What was discussed at that meeting? Why was Wilson named then?
I suspect that is close to what occured......but my tinfoil hat may be on too tight........

12. It's a safe bet Bush won't get damaged much. |
|
He has already lost the support of independents. So, now he's only backed by his base. Those people are so clueless, that they'll stick with him even if it is shown he personally orchestrated Plame's outing.
However, I really think it will hurt the Repugs. If the case is solid and goes into the White House, independents will vote for major change in 2006 and 2008. Maybe they won't get fooled again.

Due to the grand jury testimony, the boy king has been abandoned, and without the grown ups around, the boy king will continue to make world-class flubs. That's why the GOP is already in a stampede. They know it's only gonna get worse. $100.000 for Pakistan? That's because the child has no idea how much money $100,000 is. He didn't know he was being stingy. The jerk doesn't know the price of gas or war or anything else.
It's baboon time in the white house, already, thanks to Fitz. The massacre is already underway.

we're up against a ruling plutocracy that doesn't like to lose and that has our major media more or less under its control. My fear is that they will not go gently into the dark night of their demise.
