Bush Poll Numbers Now Officially DISASTROUS! (New NBC Poll)
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 07:14 PM by Beetwasher
Bush approval dips below 40 percent
NBC-WSJ poll shows only 28 percent believe U.S. headed in right direction

WASHINGTON - It has been weeks since Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast; since gas prices began spiking to record highs; and since Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, held her antiwar vigil outside President Bush’s Texas ranch. But, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, the fortunes of the Bush administration and the Republican Party have not yet begun to recover.

For the first time in the poll, Bush’s approval rating has sunk below 40 percent, while the percentage believing the country is heading in the right direction has dipped below 30 percent. In addition, a sizable plurality prefers a Democratic-controlled Congress, and just 29 percent think Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers is qualified to serve on the nation’s highest court.

5. W is likely not any better or worse than he has been from day-one: the MSM
is now shedding a tiny glimmer of light instead of helping hide the truth and shilling for his every little whim and his big tax cuts and pre-emptive war.

6. Music to my ears! But hey, the country preferred a Democratic Pres. in
2000 and 2004. Were it not for SCOTUS and Diebold, we would have had our presidents, and the country would not be in such an awful quagmire. I hope his poll numbers continue to plummet into the dirt.

7. Soon only Bush family members and criminal associates will approve.
And shortly after that Poppy and the twins will dump him.

9. What's esp. disastrous to Bush is that the numbers are *staying* low...
no matter what he pulls.

Therefore, it should be pretty clear that with the indictments to come, matters can only get worse for Bush.

We'll be in Nixon resignation territory before long.

10. More average, non-political Americans are seeing through the Bushshit
and his desperate and pitiful attempts to seek approval. If Bush could just appear on television more often dressed in a flight suit, wielding a hammer, promising tax cuts, explaining how the viewers would soon die horrible deaths, even as he interferes with the natural dying process of the family members of ordinary people, all while surrounded by adoring females like Laura, Sean, Condi, Brit, Harriet, and Rush, perhaps his approval ratings would be even lower.

11. The Republican apple is rotting on the tree.
Time for Democrats to pluck it.

The question is, how?

14. The Abu Ghraib photos and Fitzgerald indictments may push Fox News'
Bush poll ratings below 90% for the first time in his Presidency. You think?

16. It's gonna be a LONG COLD winter!
People are truly worried, and then they hear things about FEMA's road trips for the ice, keeping tax cuts for the rich, and cuts for programs for the poor ... it ain't pretty.

Christmas will be VERY telling - I predict record LOW retail sales.

Oh yeah, there is still 1 and 1/2 months left of hurricane season, and snow already in some places, floods in others.
