Some important things to remember about "Plame gate"
As I have been saying on other threads lets not count our chickens before they hatch. There have been no indictments of anyone. Fitzgerald could very well just issue a blistering report that stops short of calling actions of the White House staff criminal- might just say they were unethical but no crime. Nobody here knows what Fitzgerald is thinking. We don't know his heart or mind, We do know he is a Republican. Remember how many people here were all gaga over Mayor Nagin. Lets not uncork it just yet- it is not time to party-- yet..hopefully.

1. I was never gaga over Nagin.
And to be Republican is not necessarily to be corrupt. Just as Ronnie Earle has put crooked Democrats in jail, I expect an honest job from Fitzgerald.

or democrat.

<snip>

Fitzgerald is careful to be apolitical in his targets and his public life alike. He registered to vote as an Independent in New York, only to discover, when he began receiving fundraising calls, that Independent was a political party. He re-registered with no affiliation, as he did later in Chicago.

He spit fire last year when reporters asked whether the racketeering indictment of Muhammad Hamid Khalil Salah, a fundraiser for the Islamic militant group Hamas, was timed to boost President Bush's reelection campaign. The case was trumpeted first by Attorney General John Ashcroft.

"I am not running for an election. I'm not part of a political party," Fitzgerald said at the time. "The election is irrelevant to this case. The reason we brought this case now is we're ready to proceed."

4. If we can't trust a person who many people say is trustworthy, we're in
deep trouble and might as well chuck it in and turn it all over to the witch burners, tree hanging and dragging possees, and shoot 'em up right out of their jail cells vigilantes and military police - your sons and daughters.

There are some honest people, aren't there? It implies that he must manipulate fellow citizens who are serving on the grand jury - or he has to rig some excuse to dismiss the ones he has and find and accept some new ones who he can 'work'.

It also implies he has a Republican staff?

Do you really think he is a lone agent who has independent power?

5. I don't know why Fitzgerald would spend

all this time, energy, and money all this case if it wasn't huge. If he brings no indictments I would be so pissed. What a tease. I think there will be indictments, how many i don't know. To me it just doesn't seem worth if not to indicte anyone.

Yeah, Yeah, it's doing harm to the pukes by having this investigation but why would the repukes really care what Fitzy says or does unless there our indictments. Yes, it's making the pukes look bad but there are other things that are making the pukes look bad besides the leak case.

he has to bring indictments. I really think he will.
