Whatever happened to the 12 inch voice?
I'm tired of having to turn my iPod up loud enough that it hurts my ears, just to drown out other people who I shouldn't be able to hear. I don't care where you're going for lunch, or what you did at work, or what you leave on your friend's voicemail... I hate hearing conversations with every other sentence starting with, "I feel..." or "I was like..." Maybe I just need to deal with it, but it didn't used to bother me, which makes me think this is something new.

Also, cell phones have VERY good microphones - YA DON'T GOTTA YELL!

Anybody with me here?!!!

TWELVE INCH VOICES!!! LEAVE ME OUT OF YOUR LIFE!

1. One day ...
... one day I will be brave enough to stand behind one of these loudmouths, put thumb to my ear and pinky to the corner of my mouth, and supply the other half of the conversation, at a similar volume:

LOUDMOUTH: I feel I was like down with that

Other half: Cool! It'll be great tweaking out on meth for three days!

LOUDMOUTH (looks around): Yeah, meet me at the restaurant tonight.

Other half: Good! I'll have the cash, you bring the crystal!

LOUDMOUTH (looking annoyed): No, no, don't bring Charlie, he's a drag.

Other half: Yeah, Charlie gets drunk all the time and screws his sister.

LOUDMOUTH (edging away): Look, I got to go, like there's a jerk here.

Other half: Ok, I'll be waiting for your Camaro!

Other half ducks.

2. You can about always tell how self centered a person is
by counting the "I's" in their speech. Most republicans I know talk about I I I --

Is tiring to listen to.

3. You're absolutely right.
It is tiring. And there's too much of it.
