Rove, Bush and the way they treat the Constitution
Today's Neil Lisst political comic is about Con Law, as in Constitutional Law, and perhaps if we're lucky CONvict law in the case of Rove.

I'm not happy with the way Bush wipes his feet and other less illustrious body parts on the Bill of Rights and the post-civil war amendments. He has no appreciation for the liberties we have, as evidenced in the way he has used the Secret Service like a palace guard, who muscle ordinary citizens attempting to exercise their right to hold up signs that say Bush is doing a lousy job. Never have we had a president who did this, who used police to intimidate and remove anyone who isn't 100% supportive.

Like many of you, I am very concerned about where the Bush juggernaut leads. This guy doesn't want to quit being president, and he's not above finding another tragedy to exploit, if not arrange.

I hope you enjoy today's Neil Lisst. We had fun writing it.

4. Do I mind?!! Hell NO!! Please share it.
Thanks nadinbrzezinski. Pass it around.

Like I said, by 8 AM I'll have the typo fixed.

My partner is the artist who draws these. I describe them, he draws. We play it until it's right. We always several in progress, and we bump them to go with something timely.

His schedule and mine are very different. I like to work late, he's a standard day guy. He's Canadian, which means he's a Snow Democrat!!

7. Please pass it around - it's principally progressive
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 12:54 AM by Neil Lisst
I say principally because I know there are many progressives who are not as inclined as I am to accept any Democrat who will vote for the party Nominee in November, and openly support the ticket. Anyone who will do that counts as a Dem in my book.

If a person won't support the ticket, no matter which way they flee (left or right), I don't count them as Dems. I always vote straight party DEM, because this is my TEAM.

6. I wish I could say it was, but ... isht happens!
oops, see my other comments, posted while you were posting that

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Friday I'm using an idea I got here, from atommom, whom I will credit below the comic. She used two words I won't mention, and that got me to thinking about a Friday comic that is timely. It will be up this time tomorrow night, so look for it.

3. Two things to add
1. Yes, I know WHERE is misspelled WERE in frame one. My comic partner loaded it earlier, and I was working and couldn't get away to tell him we had a typo, so it's that way until he fixes it. That probably won't be until tomorrow morning, so if you want a Neil Lisst comic that will only be up a few hours, copy the one up now. By 8 AM Central, it will be replaced.

2. The DU link and Shout Outs are not up, but they will be by 8 AM also. Snafu between me and my partner. We do everything by email, since I live in Texas and he lives in Winnipeg, and we both work full time at real work.

8. Bush and Rove discuss constitutional issues
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 05:22 AM by Neil Lisst
It's early morning, so I thought I would bump this for the early morning readers. I hope you'll take a look at this comic about Bush, Rove and what they are doing to our constitution. Today's Neil Lisst comic.

I'd love to read comments about the comic and the text below it, where I address some of the civil liberty infractions of Bush.

Feedback is good. Thanks.

9. Thought I'd run this past everyone at lunch ....
Just another mention of the Bush-Rove Constitution comic, and an invitation to discuss my comments below the comic regarding the loss of constitutional rights under Bush.
