I mean, some people approve of Bush but think the country is headed to hell in a handbasket because of the "gay agenda" or some similar reason.

I hear echos of this on AM hate radio all the time. You'd think that the evil shadow liberal government was actually running things, and that the Reep Congress, President and Supreme Court was powerless.
Think I'm kidding? How many times does Sean say "They won't let us do that..." without ever identifying who the hell "they" are?
Pretty often, I'd bet.

I think they are out there but people like us don't associate with them. We either pretend or make sure they don't exist (in our heads at least).
