he read several of the notes she wrote, then said it has yet to be determined whether or not she dotted her i's with hearts. Gave me a chuckle.

4. OMG!!

I've read ABOUT them, but after SEEING them and reading them in entirety (although I couldn't get through them all - my gag reflax is too strong!), I am APPALLED!

This woman is NOT qualified to be anything but a small town lawyer. She is childish - okay maybe adolescent at best. She has a very shallow grasp of the language. What kind of "pit bull in size 6 shoes" tells the POTUS that's he's cool!

7. Southern style?

The fauning letters say something about how the white Southern woman of her generation was kept in a state of perpetual adolsence to express virtue etc. The man who sweet talks and flatters will be sweet talked and flattered right back. She is self-effacing, enthusiastic but not intimate in her expressions of enthusiasm which probably make her sound more adolescent than she was.

On the other hand, her later letters were more professional and mature.

I don't see that there's anything too fabulous about Harriet Myers-- she may be a deep thinker, underneath the veneer of Southern girl style...but * isn't a deep thinker himself, so even if she is[/i, he's probably unaware of that feature. What he sees is that she thinks he's wonderful, which makes him feel good.

This is the long-established requirement of the Monarch's court. That's why it's called courtship. When the Mendacious Monarch is a pathological narcissist, his courtiers are required to feed his insatiable appetite for flattery. This has been discussed repeatedly on DU: the Chimperor is a pathological narcissist and those surrounding him are required to provide him his narcissistic supply. What people today fail to fully comprehend is the function of the monarchical court - which is a codependent kind of fan club. The more perverted the monarch, the more perverted the behavior of the court. While we tend to use terms like 'inner circle' and 'advisors' and 'cronies,' it's very important to realize that shining sunshine up his butt is their number one function.

This man's pathologies cannot be overstated, imho. Beginning with his purported 'conversion' around 1980, exacerbated when he became the almost-ceremonial Governor of a state with a "weak-Governorship," amplified during the 2000 Presidential campaign, and scaled up ENORMOUSLY since 2000, the single highest priority for any person in contact with C-czar Disgustsus is to feed his narcissism. As such, his pathology has done nothing but get worse and worse with every passing day. This is why he's medicated. This is why he mountain bikes while the country faces a crisis. This is why he's done nothing more often than give stump speeches in front of hand-picked crowds. This is why he 'vacations' so much - at the Crawford Sanatorium and the Camp David Psychiatric Ward.

This is also why I predict he'll be martyred by the reich-wing before Election 2008 - he cannot be allowed to run around loose as an "ex-President" without the huge numbers of courtiers and handlers. He's a sick fuck.
