All the Photos of Bush's "Troops" Photo-OP Show Only His BACK >
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 02:07 PM by Stephanie

Just how drunk was he? I've searched Yahoo, MSNBC, CNN & Getty Images. Could you see his face in the broadcast? It's inexplicable. What kind of a photo-op is that? Shot from behind only? Too weird.

All the Yahoo photos here:

*edit* Can you see his "hump" in this one?

1. Just in time for Halloween, it's the remake of "Picture of Dorian Grey"
It's for your safety. Shortly after, these people turned to stone for gazing into his face.

17. Everyone involved in "Poltergeist" was cursed, too...
Bush has lost the Midas touch, and these troops are bearing the brunt of his stupidity.

That is really bizarre, though. Maybe Pickles beat him up again?

33. Totally
I listened to the speech on Stephanie Miller's show and good grief! It was worse than the last one he did! And that one was pretty bad too. I didn't see any of it but when the networks showed it did they show his front or just his back? Very weird.

to get lines fed to him.

MSNBC just had a laughable spot on it. First they had a piece about him doing this teleconference, and then the tv news model said that some people think it was a photo-op and that the questions were fed to the soldiers. She did not mention the dialogue that was actually heard by the person prepping the soldiers. Then this tv news model introduces some pundit that says that the troops are very supportive......

On the other hand, it could be a real hoot if he wears it while swimming! (How much do they weigh, anyway?)

side and it's a long distance shot. There is no way they wanted the camera tight on him.

Who watched the video? Could you see his face? I guess if you can't see it in the WH video then you couldn't on TV either.

20. I heard Malloy say he was drunk, and it was 10AM in the morning at that.
He was having problems talking. I think there is also a video over at Yahoo, and I tried to load it before and had problems. I think it's because I was trying to load it via AOL, I'm going to try in a little while through IE.

Yeah I saw his face. He didn't do too badly really. You could tell some was scripted but a few times there was genuine interaction. He looked a bit nervous at times. I think he is running the show (or trying to) and has scooted his "handlers" to the curb.

37. I saw the live broadcast and it was showing Bush's right side
Don't recall which cable news channel I was watching. But I do know that there weren't any "behind" shots like the pic at Yahoo.

I was looking hard for the bulge, but his jacket and the background were both dark, so it was hard to discern. My impression was that there was "something" there on his back again, but it wasn't prominent like in the debates. He did end up holding an earpiece with an obvious wire attached to his left ear on occasion.

The reporting I've read is a bit odd, too. It was Bush making long-winded statements and asking just a few questions. I hadn't known that the possibility of "scripting" was even an issue in dispute till reading the blogs. It was patently obvious that the troops knew which person to hand the microphone to for answers to particular question.

The oddest thing was that the troops were basically frozen in position throughout, and didn't move around hardly at all, but when Bush started in with his worn-out war-porn they all became noticeably animnated and nodded their heads in earnest agreement.

Obviously the eleven troops were chosen for their devotion to the Chimp. Then they were rehearsed to within an inch of their lives.
