Poll: Bush Presidency Judged Unsuccessful
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051013/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_expectations_1

WASHINGTON - For the first time, more people say George W. Bush's presidency will be judged as unsuccessful than say it will be seen as a success, a poll finds.

Forty-one percent of respondents said Bush's presidency will be seen as unsuccessful in the long run, while 26 percent said the opposite. Thirty-five percent said it was too early to tell, according to the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

In January, 36 percent said successful and 27 percent said unsuccessful.

Seven in 10 said they want the next president to offer policies and programs that are different from the Bush administration's.

1. A 24 point flip.
This bodes well for the impeachment.

2. And if 35% are witholding judgement,
I can only assume as the Bushies get deeper and deeper into the much, more and more of those people will deem it a failure.

4. Never has a presidency been able to seize total control of all levers
of power and implement their entire agenda which has led to an unparalleled destruction of much of the Constitution, fiscal integrity of government, the environment, international treaties, goodwill and organizations, then unleash pre-emptive war(s), and empty the treasury solely for the benefit of patrons, cronies, and large corporations to the detriment of all else. The success of this destruction is nearly complete and irrefutable. Refutation of any or all of this rant is invited for I hope it is wholly wrong.

8. Exactly. It's breathtakingly "successful" ... in getting away with murder
... embezzlement, theft, fraud, and prostitution. It just shows how stunningly stupid this country has become politically.

6. At the end of Clinton's presidency, only 50% wanted new policies.
According to the article.
