3. I'm kind of shocked that even 9% still like him.
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 06:02 PM by distantearlywarning
I think that this number really represents the 9% of Republican voters who lie to pollsters and say they are Democrats to make Bush seem like a "uniter".

On Edit: That was my 800th post! I'm out of the 700 club finally! :-D

5. I just heard that, they are tearing him up
That was one of the most brutal beating that Bush has taken yet. When Fund is jumping on the bandwagon, it is bad. Wow.

7. Yeah but at the end of that segment
John Fund, Schneider and Lou Dobbs said the Republicans are stumbling but the Dems have given no new ideas or shown leadership...do they ever really give Dems the soap box when they do?

13. Are you going to argue with that?
Just what have you heard in the recent weeks that show Dems taking advvantage of the Pub stumble?

Sure, every now and then, you hear a Dem criticize, but not much else!

I gotta tell you, I spend way too much time on SU than I should, I listen to cspan, CNN, MSNBC, etc, and if I haven't heard anything positive (except for Dean on Letterman and MTP, it's just not happening!!!!!

23. Dean, Gore, Pelosi have recently made major points on the record
But since they are not de regor, nor owners of media conglomerates (well Gore is trying), their comments are noted in passing and pushed into the backwaters of public debate and policy.

Look at what the Republicans do to them in the Congress where the rules are in place. Dems bring forth ideas (bills) and where do they go? No where! The R hold the power and they hold the Media. Though, the media is slipping from them, yet are not taking much time to illustrate what Dems have to offer.

25. At the moment, it looks like the neocons
are being relentlessly taken apart, piece-meal, by powerful legal means. Why allow them to "make waves" for the legal process by their media minions retailing bullsh*t about partisan attacks by the Dem leaders? Softly, softly catchee, well... softly, softly, anyway.

The body blows that are going to topple them are currently in progress. You know the boxing saying about battering the body and the head will take care of itself?

Tricky's lowest job approval rating was 24%. I think we can beat that if all try just a little harder, don't you?

the knuckle-walking, mouth-breathing Religion Industry podpeople on his side. All he had was Kissinger, poor Devil.

12. Now, Finally, This is All Getting Exciting and Great!
Nine per cent is horrible, horrible. Don't be concerned about the fact that it is "still" 9%, or "who are these people," etc. NINE % is one of the worst ratings on record, other Party or not. This is fabulous news!

26. Surely, you're not talking about Father Christmas like that!
Wheedle, wheedle, wheedle. "It looks like this is the case, but look here... surprisingly, what is actually happening is blah, blah...", as if peddling his black propaganda to one of Shrub's infant school classes.
