4. 3 things about Matthews-(my theory)

1;before the Iraq invasion he was dead-set against it in no uncertain terms then he went on some outdoor trip with his sons and contracted some rare disease and almost friggin'died-I think he was suspicious about it and got in line(think Brokaw/anthrax)

2;he buys into that thing about being a liberal in your 20's and you have be a conservative when you grow up and...

3;most of his pals are GOPers-the righteous who were disgraced by Bill Clinton's behavior

I guess he picks his fights carefully not wanting to alienate himself too far from his peers-that's my theory

I was a liberal in my 20's and I'm a liberal many years later, in my more than grown up years. Also, point #3, the GOPers have disgraced themselves and Bill Clinton had nothing to do with it. Bill Clinton has more class in his little finger than that whole GOP crowd together.
