Does anyone here remember the Cronkite turning point |
|
from about 35 years ago? Uncle Walter said on one his evening broadcasts that " ... it looked like America is losing the war in Viet Nam". That one statement by a highly revered broadcast journalist was viewed by many, including LBJ, as though it may have been Moses and the burning bush and it marked the beginning of the end of the Viet Nam fiasco.
The events of the last few days and weeks lead me to believe history is repeating itself. The MSM is dropping the jingoistic line and seem more inclined to telling the facts and asking questions that really need answering whenever they get the opportunity to do a one-on-one with the BFEE stooges. Smirky is feeling the pressure and it is apparent with the increase in his screw ups in public. The simpleton can't seem to do anything right any more. It won't be long before Rove keeps him in seclusion and away from all cameras and microphones.
I'm honestly starting to wonder if this idiot can make it through three more years.

the weather is getting cold. The timing seems kind of opportune for them since the weather is going to be an obstacle as far as protests are concerned.

4. He couldn't do anything right before now either |

It's just that his screwups are big enough that they can't be ignored now.

I think it's time for Smirky to retire to his stateroom and lay down on his sword.

7. Too bad there are no current day Cronkite's! |
|
It's really a shame too. I was a pretty little kid, and I remember sitting on the floor watching him. Everybody that I knew respected Walter!

8. As Rove's power declines, the M$M "courage" |
|
will continue to increase.
I think that we're already seeing it happening. Already, Rover has lost much of his ability to strike fear in the hearts of editors and news directors.
