Breaking: I told you Gingrinch was going to run:
Gingrich Says Run for President Possible

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Thursday he might run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 - unless some candidates promote his ideas.

"There are circumstances where I will run," Gingrich told a news conference before a speech at the University of Mobile.

Earlier this year, in an interview with The Associated Press, Gingrich said, "Anything seems possible."

3. I called this two months ago and everyone on her Guffawed
THis guy could win...because he was the last true leader of the party and the GOP is despeate for true leadership.

Watch his numbers soar...I bet he replace Frist as the #1 wannabe in GOP polling.

Not saying he has a chance in the general but he has populist appeal in Iowa and right now would win in South Carolina.

4. I don't think the Pubs who pick the candidate will let him win!
Remember, the Pub elite pick the candidate. Any others who might get into the primary asr just for show!

Gingrich has a lot of baggage that the Pubs don't like! He cheats on his wives, got tossed out of the House because of ethical problems, divorced his wife, while she waas dying of cancer, to marry his girlfriend....

If he didn't have all the junk, I think he'd have a good chance. He's a very personable creature, decent looking, and smart.

None of that metters to the Pubs though.

10. You forgot his sister Candice is a lesbian
That doesn't play well with THE BASE. I met her once...she did a session I attended at a conference. I just could not imagine how such a neat person could be related to that...person.

22. With all due respect ...
He is a stain and an embarrassment to our great state. Apologies to all Americans for having inflicted Gingrich on the country.

Otherwise, I agree with your assessment.

5. Oh good. I was afraid that the 2008 election
would have absolutely no fun to it at all. Given the last 5 years, I hesitate to start a sentence like this but here goes... Can you imagine how low the country would stoop to elect someone (ok, another someone) with not only a deplorable lack of vision and a long history of backbiting pettiness... but someone who goes by the name of NEWT???!!!! :silly:

17. This is totally different. People know Newt.
The RW wacko religious fundamentalist nut jobs are not going to elect that man.

His wife was in the hospital DYING FROM CANCER and he asked her for a divorce WHILE SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL! No way in hell will he even come close to being the nominee. NO WAY.

23. Thank you. Yes, she's certainly a little character with
a ton of personality and she's such a sweetheart. She's never met a person she didn't like....not a good watchdog. :)

20. She was his high school math teacher ... such a tender story
He "pursued" his high school math teacher and they eventually married. He dumped her, of course, when the going got rough ... for her. Sounds like such a lovely young, and emotionally crippled couple.

You Bloated Greedy Demagogue, you. I'm willing to bet a dozen of your favorite Cream Sucker Doughnuts the American people would vote you so far OUT you would wind up in Mongolia.

No one buys your bloviated bullshit anymore, Mr. Gingrich, so just shut up and sit down. Your 15 minutes are totally up.

8. I hope that they all cut each other's throat. Gingrich is only an im-
provement over Bush. I will have to move to the south of France if any of these obnoxious bastards wins by cheating again. This country is going to the robber barons in the WH.

9. During the last few years he was house majority leader,
he was polled as the most unpopular man in America. I somehow don't think things have changed that much. RUN NEWT RUN! There is so much more to tell America about you.
