2. Just Think If They Hung J.C.
the Catholics would be doing the sign of the noose. And the Christians would be wearing those little gold nooses on a gold chain!

I have a friend that always says he was well hung!
You sure hit it Bonzo! Love the nic.
Thank goodness he wasn't drawn and quartered! Ewww.
I have great respect for Jesus and his teachings, just sad at how things have been so...misinterpreted. imo

And welcome to DU!:hi:

the electric chair was not in operation then. Those chairs would look very odd on top all those churchs!

Thanks for the welcome. Glad to be here.

12. You are most welcome Bonzo!
And the chairs would end up with little lights flashing in them in some tacky gift shop!

Good one again!

15. Not Funny
Not at all funny actually. The cross is worn to show Jesus' sacrifice so that we may have everlasting life through him.

Don't worry though, I'm not offended by your comments b/c I'm very hard to offend. But, I can think of very many people who would really take offense to your post.

Have a nice day. :)

5. He was a bachelor, you know. We know what that means.
And a carpenter to boot. Probably one of those union socialist bastards.

9. The point is that the Republicans smear whomever they want -
Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 08:06 PM by JimmyJazz
no matter how big of a hero. Kerry was a decorated war hero and the Repukes smeared his good name and belittled his heroism by wearing purple heart band-aids at the RNC and by claiming his acts of heroism were false and exaggerated.

13. That ANYONE is guaranteed the same treatment by the GOP.
When you buy up most of the broadcast media in the 80s and 90s, you get to define your opponents for decades afterwards.

I have always said they would turn General Jesus Christ into a coward with no ethics or morals who was loathed by his troops.

Think of Wes Clark being lied into being the "perfumed prince" by 200 men claiming to have been let down by his lack of leadership and defined as someone who only got to where he was because Bill Clinton needed at least ONE General who would do his bidding.

They have scenarios for everybody. Even Jesus, if they had to.

11. LOL. I also liked the campaign commercial
Bush vs. Jesus of Nazareth.

"Jesus is soft on terror".

and other lines.
