I'm not hearing as many RW folks spew their dubya rhetoric at work lately.

Ahhhhhh . . . peace.

2. I still can't believe we lost to this worthless piece of garbage
Just shows you how pathetic democratic leadership has become. So many of them jumped in bed with the repukes on corporate legislation, that we get stuck with this.

6. What difference does it make? . . .
if the Democratic leadership lost the election to an incompetent, or ran a campaign so incompetently it was close enough to be stolen . . . either way, we lost, and lost to arguably the worst president in our history. No words will rectify this; it'll only be set right through proper action. Let us hope.

7. It matters for the sake of the historical record
taht is why it matters... and if we don't say it, it will be forgotten

8. It happened in 2000. . . and was repeated in 2004. . .
it doesn't matter what historical records are remembered if no one acts upon the knowledge.

9. It matters
And we can agree to disagree

but the reason why it happened again in 2004, nobody learned the lessons of 2000 and 2002, becuase it could never happen here... that is why it amtters

17. Bush is the Milli Vanilli president. He is a media creation. They
propped up bush and bashed Gore. The media is responsible for bush and what has happened to our country.

15. It IS the "fad of the decade"! So far it's been a world-wide fad...
to which a majority of Americans are catching on. "'BFT" says I. "'bout fuckin' time".

11. I marched on the sidewalk of the Governor's Mansion
In November of 2000, when the post election recount fiasco was ongoing, I marched in Austin and held high my BUSH IS A CROOK sign.

Two weekends, and it got ugly. The pro-Bushies outnumbered us about 3-1 at times, and they were aggressive and shoving lefties everywhere. I had to jump onto the DPS guys there and make them stop the assaults of lefties taking place by righties. They finally separated the two sides entirely, and then the face off was the deal the rest of the day.

Both sides marched the 300 yards up to the Capitol steps, and we lined up on the steps and they lined up on the other. In between, dozens of DPS. It was AWESOME!

So, yes, I've been here showing my colors since day one.

DU was there for all of us, at the height of our "un-cool" feeling.

Seven Days Underground

Seven Days Underground - The First Days of Democratic Underground

Democratic Underground had its official launch on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2001. Much has happened since then. To mark the passing of our first week, we felt that our faithful visitors might like to read a SLIGHTLY EMBELLISHED first-person account of the highs and lows of launching an underground political website.

13. Yeah, vociferously and visibly is how I have been anti Bush and
it is so soothing to not be in the minority after all these years.
I must say that I live in a "red" state, at least a really reddish purple......(NC)

14. I thought he was a no-talent loser in the summer of 2000.
My opinion hasn't changed, except that I now have even more contempt for him.

16. Have always thought * is a whining spoiled brat...
with no intellectual curiosity. He is a deceitful, lying, power hungry pissant. He has no business running an animal shelter, much less this country.

I simply cannot understand how anyone with a conscience could support this man.

18. He can't be re-elected again (well, just wait until the country's on
"RED ALERT").

So the Repukes are trying to distance themselves from his coat-tails - except that they've been rubber-stamping damn near everything he sends them.

Remind people that he hasn't had to veto one bill yet. And that he's been given everything he wanted from the Repukes.

And the regular people of this country are the ones taking it in the ass . . .
