Poll question: Harriet Miers - gone with the spin?
Miers nomination is inflaming the reich-wing nuts - who make up the bulk of bush*'s base.

with a wink wink nudge nudge - he's tried to reassure the bible-belters that Harriet is on their side

but it looks like the kool-aid supply lines have been interrupted

bush* is scrambling

How do you see the Miers nomination playing out?

1. I think WE are the ones drinking the kool-aid. Bush is going to do the ol
"bait and switch" trick. Miers is the bait. He will let everybody gripe, then switch to someone his base will approve of.

Rush and company will then be easily able to talk the sheep back into line. He will point out that the Democrats objected to Miers - and how dare them to oppose THIS new nominee.

The Republican leaders - who have the majority - will then vote what there home constituents want. End of story.
