Security, Opportunity, and Responsibility: the Democratic Agenda
Edited on Fri Oct-14-05 10:01 AM by ih8thegop
One of those things that gets to me is all those threads asking why Democrats haven't been standing up for ordinary people.

I doubt that many of the people who start those threads have seen the party's agenda online.

Is it perfect? Uh, no. Not even close. I'd like to improve the wording of what's there and add a couple more things.

But that's not the point. The point is, The Democrats have an agenda. Those who say otherwise are mistaken.

"So why haven't they been talking about it?" Let's remind ourselves about who controls the media. If it were balanced, you'd hear a lot more about this.

1. Thank you
I am so damned sick of hearing we have no agenda, no solutions, no plan. It's like a mantra these days. Some pundit intones, "The Democrats have nothing except negativity for Bush. If they're going to capitalize on his weaknesses, they have to have a plan of their own, and so far they haven't had one." Then, everyone nods as if that's new and creative and absolutely true. Gag.

2. We Will Be Hearing a Lot More of this $#!+ Next Year
We can be sure that as the election gets closer,
we are going to hear this every day on TV,
and nary a chance to respond to any of it.

There's not a lot we can do about this. They own the media.

4. Actually there's one important thing we can (and must) do
Edited on Fri Oct-14-05 12:19 PM by ih8thegop
Spread the word. We must make our own media. Keep your family and friends informed. The media's inaction mustn't stop us
