Are any of you participating in this massive protest on Nov. 2nd?
I am and I'd like to get the word out. World Can't Wait is organizing a massive protest all across the US, not just in protest of the Iraq War, but in protest of the Illegitimate Election of George Bush.

I am looking forward to go to a protest that is not just against the Iraq war, but one that demands that the Bush Regime be driven out of office. Protesting against the Iraq war is worthy and noble-- don't get me wrong. But we need REGIME CHANGE at home, or we'll be protesting against 10 other illegal wars waged in our name by the end of the decade.

This protest is asking for us to stop waiting for a leader who will rescue America and take our country back.

I see nothing about ANSWER in the organizers profile. Many have stated that they are registered Democrats.

I will be at the protest in NYC, Union Square at noon.

Here is a link to various protests:

1. Probably
but I will distinguish myself from the Revolutionary Communist Party for which worldcantwait is rather a front. I wonder how much flack will result when all of us Dems get grouped with this protest sponsored by "a bunch of commies."

2. How is worldcantwait a communist front?
Just wondering. I don't know. Their website doesn't say anything about it. On their affliations page they have the support of one communist-- but also St. Mary's Episcopal in NYC and the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, etc.

Does anyone have any info on this organization?

3. I have a Communist friend
who is deeply involved. There have been several other threads discussing this group. I will have to search and find some for you.

4. Thanks!
I really hope this isn't true. I want to protest this government. I really do.

If they are also a communist front, I have to say that-- hell- why are the only people doing anything the frickin communists? How can ALL these groups be communist?

They must be busy people, these communists. I wonder where they get all their organizing money from. (Rich communists?)

5. I agree
Where are all those "one of 55 million" folks who didn't vote for Bush? Are they out there lying down, putting up with it, wishing they could do something? Why are the blues not doing anything?
