New Curfew Hours in the French Quarter
Bowing to pressure from French Quarter bar owners, Mayor Ray Nagin has altered the curfew hours in the Quarter from midnight to 6 AM to 2AM to 6AM. Bar owners had threatened to not heed the midnight curfew tonight stating they wanted to help the city recover (tax revenue generators.)

The only question now - WHAT IF you are in a bar at two and choose to stay till six. I don't think the bar owners will have a problem with that and the tax revenue will continue to mount - good for the city. Tell me you wack job liberals, what would you do? Forced to remain in a bar on Bourbon Street from 2 to 6 in the morning. Perish the thought.

The Good times are starting to pick up steam.

Half of the I-10 across Lake Pontchartrain (east to west) from Slidell to New Orleans is now open.

9. Prediction: Irish coffee sales soar between 4 and 6.
Hell, find something else to spike it with (in addition to the Irish) and call it "Irish Channel Coffee" (after the neighborhood Uptown)!
