Guess CNN has new orders from WH to focus on Iraq and Terra
Wolfie is on and they are examining maps were the power is out in Baghdad to the most to the most ridiculous degree. Lots and lots of speculation. Really trying to get people nervous....
I don't think CNN focused this closely on Iraq in months.

I plan on writing them an email just to show my displeasure with their lopsided news coverage.
Does the "sudden" enormous focus on Iraq seem blatant to anyone else?

10. LOL, I can't believe they are still afraid of him.
It's glaringly obvious when Karl is distracted (testifying) and when he's on the job.

6. Actually
I think this event just shows how little we've actually
accomplished after so many years and so many lives lost. The
"insurgents" have the entire place blacked out (imagine how
horrid that must be for our soldiers) and may prevent Bush's
need for tomorrow's election. Sure does not appear we are
winning if this happening - they have literaly taken the coutry
over today.

4. Digit,I agree with you about that Wolf...
On another thread there is a story about 2 Americans caught with ex-
plosives like the Brits last week. Why no coverage of the Americans
who were about to sabotage something. My sympathies lie with the Iraqi
Freedom Fighters sorry to say.I want them to kick the shit out of the
American invaders.Yes,their Imperial invaders looking for a hugh oil
supply and Iraq happens to fit the bill...Shame on America and BTW
where is Osama??? Had Bush come out of the mountains of Tora Bora back
in Dec.01'with the head of Osama I'd probably support the scumbag in
Iraq but that point is moot today..

5. Anything but talk about Karl Rove
now if Karl changed his name to Monica we would be getting every breathless minute of wall to wall coverage.

7. This Isn't Good News For The Boooshies
Think about what this shows not only the people of Baghdad, but to the world, about how screwed up things are in Iraq. This regime has tried to hype this election and now with the international media paying some attention, boom boom...out go the lights.

There's not much about Rove's testimony that will come out this afternoon...if there's going to be a revelation, that is going to pop over the weekend (the chit-chat shows)...and not sure what else people want. The fact Rove had to sweat on that stand for 3 1/2 hours today says this investigation is far from ramping down.

Remember, Baghdad is a city of several million people...even in the best of times, a blackout is a big story. Look at what panic occured in this country when the lights went out on the east coast and all the confusion in NOLA that was more directed at the lack of electricity than anything else. This is a very big story and not a good one for those who'd want to portray things as moving "forward" in this mess.

I'm curious if Riversbend will have some kind of post about this.

8. No surprise iraqi constitution vote will get alot of play
I definitely want to hear about the goings on. I bet the media will treat it like the last iraqi elections. A lot of focus, people with purple fingers, etc.
