Bob dylan's "times they are a changing" now a tv advert.......?
just heard it, sounds just like the original by him or a nearly perfect knock off. have just recently seen the 4 hour pbs thing about him, and am not surprised he would offer himself and his songs for advertisements, unlike the (drummer or organist?) for the doors, who is blocking use of doors songs for advertisements.

when the ad first came on it was quite a shock to me in any event.

maybe he will primp for a deodorant advert, featuring "...the answer is blowing in the wind."

or maybe "lay lady lay" for a condom ad.

surely Du'ers can think of more possibilities.

3. Dylan did shill for Victoria's Secret
Back in the 60's, when he used to give smart-alecky answers to reporters, he was asked if he would ever do a tv commercial. He replied that maybe for ladies lingerie. 30 years later Victoria's Secret took him up on it. I saw the commercial a few times, but the campaign didn't last long.

5. It's possible he had no say in the matter
I don't know if he retained the rights to his back catalog. Remember the whole stink with Michael Jackson selling The Beatles Revolution to Nike??
