Bush Launches New Flack Attack
I haven't seen this posted on here but I found out about it from crooksandliars.com and thought you all should know about this.

Link: http://villagevoice.com/blogs/bushbeat/archive/001948.php

<George W. Bush — what a newsmaker. In the true sense of the word. This morning, he made it up.

The videoconference his handlers set up with U.S. soldiers in Iraq was staged, as the AP's Deb Reichmann just pointed out.

But here's another part of the flack attack you may not know: The soldier on the left side of the front row was actually a flack herself, though she didn't reveal it during the regime's 24-minute infomercial.

Her name is Corine Lombardo, and I hope she stays safe in Iraq. It's a dangerous place even for flacks. But the fact is, as my sharp-eyed colleague David Axe tipped me, Lombardo probably sees more action watching CNN than action. (For a sample of her work, click here.)

I'm glad Lombardo is safe, and I mean her no harm, and it's nothing personal, but I don't believe a fucking word she says, because her job is to make the Bush regime look good. So what great insights did she have? Here's a portion of her conversation with the POTUS — who moronically stepped on her lines and couldn't even get her rank straight. Bush started by asking her this: >

1. This administration gets more surreal by the day
Life in the Homeland gets more Orwellian every week. I'm glad I lived to see history being made....I guess.

The transcript sounds phonier when I read it than it did when I watched it:

________________________________________________________

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I appreciate that. There's no question that we need to stay on the offense, and we need to stay on the offense with well-trained Iraqi forces, side-by-side the finest military ever — ever to exist, and that's the United States military.

SERGEANT LOMBARDO: That it is, Mr. President. Thank you.

9. wasn't the staging bad enough?
Is there any limit to how low this administartion will go? (no need to answer that!)
One would think that the staging would be embarassing enough, but to plant a talking head in there is really going too far.
How long before the military stops playing along with this nonsense?

By clicking on the link to the original post, I come up with the answer that a "flack" might be someone, like this lombardo woman, whose job it is to make the bush administration look good.

SMOKE AND MIRRORS, SPIN AND TWIST, LIE AND CHEAT, HIDE AND OBSCURE...
these are all the great qualities of the Bush Crime Family and their administrations.

5. Is she or is she not in the military? If so, what is her MOS?
If she was impersonating a soldier why isn't this being talked about.

6. I think a PR person
from the Pentagon?

Anyhow, it's OBVIOUS now that her role was TO (drum roll, please):

BRING UP SEPTEMBER 11 in the context of our illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq. :eyes:

8. I hope Olbermann talks about this
This is the important part about the woman:

I'm glad Lombardo is safe, and I mean her no harm, and it's nothing personal, but I don't believe a fucking word she says, because her job is to make the Bush regime look good. So what great insights did she have? Here's a portion of her conversation with the POTUS — who moronically stepped on her lines and couldn't even get her rank straight. Bush started by asking her this:

And I'm listening to Springer talk about this from yesterday and boy is he pissed off. He said how Bush couldn't just get regular soliders and talk to them. Ask them how they're doing, if they have enough armor, etc. He is talking about how we're really dumb too to believe it because we know it's phony. Bush is only doing everything with the fake "town hall meetings", the "Mission Accomplished" etc. for his poll raitings. The woman was a PR person: Instead, he pretended that they were all combat soldiers, not spokespeople.
