Condi loses in Russia
Secretary of State Kinda-Lies-A-Lot Rice failed Saturday to persuade Russia to offer new support for a hard line on Iran's disputed nuclear program, despite making a hastily arranged trip to the Russian capital.

Rice wanted Russian cooperation as the United States and its European allies try either to draw Iran back to diplomatic talks or invoke the threat of punishment from the powerful U.N. Security Council.

Despite lengthy meetings with Russian officials, including a long session alone with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, it was clear Russia had not changed its opposition to using the Security Council.

2. Huge loss.
She came up empty-handed. While I enjoy seeing this administration fail, I am also aware of the growing dangers the country faces because this administration is so discredited and resented, around the globe. This is, of course, the country that Condi is supposed to do the best with, because of her background. And she fell flat on her face.

3. Russia may be our last shot
at stopping dubco's imperialist agenda. Never thought the day would come when our heros were "over there".
I think pooty poot could take dubby any day of the week anyhow.

4. Russia was never the real problem. China was.
While the purported altruism of opening up China wasn't bad, SOME FOOL should have realized that the pubbiecons would have exploited China, thinking they weren't smart enough to adapt.

Whoops.

Not only have they adapted, they have the means to destroy us without firing a single missile. But don't worry, it's just business. :grr:

And it isn't trade when you go over there to give them our means of developing and manufacturing things. It's suicide. A slow and painful one.

6. i understand what you are saying
but I never had a real problem with either. Growing up in a cold war where we had to duck and cover because we thought that Russia or somebody was coming to get us kind of sticks with ya. dubby seems to think he could just overrun the whole damn planet and I suspect our competition in Russia and China may burst his bubble. In a good way, I hope.
Condi would look much smarter if she wasn't shilling for these clowns, er neoclowns. All condi wanted to do was install missile defense systems and cut us out of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.
How could they think that nukes make good policy? :nuke:

8. In the late 90's I spent a lot of time working in the Pacific Rim
The one fact that I took away from there was that the Chinese would eventually overwhelm the entire hemisphere. It will come down to our hegemony versus their's. Problem is the rest of the planet doesn't want to see China destroyed. They would love to see America destroyed.

Before the talks

After (She forgot to smile for the cameras):

I'm pretty sure they told Rice-A-Phony to put our Iran Plan where the sun don't shine.
