Brushed aside by the Army for 17 months in his efforts to ensure effective standards on the treatment of prisoners, Captain Fishback finally went outside the chain of command – to the offices of Senators John Warner (R-Virginia) and John McCain (R-Arizona), and finally he and some of his sergeants provided detailed testimony to Human Rights Watch for a report which they issued two weeks ago.

Who would have thought it would have to come to this?

In the House... which representatives are spearheading the anti-torture language in the Defense bill? Do they have a Republican sponsor to whom we can refer OUR representatives?

(mine is that POS Peter King....Think we can convince him to vote against torture?)
