3 more years of what?
what the hell is going to happen to this country over the remainder of B*sh's term? Short of another major terrorist attack, finding Osama Bin Laden or the Rapture, his approval ratings and the general perception of that wanker are not going to get any better for him; possibly some up turns now and again, but not very much. In the meantime, the scandals are popping up like mushrooms after a thunderstorm; and, being a regular peruser of bookstores, it seems that every week there is a least one new book out documenting the crimes of the B*sh Crime family. Is this the MADNESS OF KING GEORGE, the Sequel??? The house of straw is crumbling all around them, but it is hurting so many innocent victims on the way out. And when they try and do something to improve ratings, for example, the scripted teleconference the other day, it blows up in their faces! Just how truly incompetent are these boobs? And how did they ever get that plonker elected in the first place? (oh, yeah, that's right,,, he NEVER WAS 'elected' in the first place!) And, yet, I can't help but think that somewhere out there, a group of crazies with immense power are grooming a newer version of GWB to step in a few years down the line, learning from the mistakes of this current group ...
what rough beast, it's hour come round at last, slouches towards DC to be born?
Caveat emptor!

Alright, meds kicking in,,,rant over

3. How LOW can his approval rating go?
Geez, 39% is bad enough. Could it go into the teens by the end or would something "miraculous" happen before then?

4. Great rant!
"what rough beast, it's hour come round at last, slouches towards DC to be born?"

I think if they are kept busy with putting out fires at home, they will be less destructive in the long term. And it is our job to keep the fires burning that their little tootsies are being held to. Short of open rebellion and revolution, that is all we can do.

6. I find comfort in predictibility
So I like knowing that every week or so they will blow up a package of Krispies Kremes on the subway.

Condi will fly off and meet with world leaders while wearing really nice shoes.

We will find and/or kill Bin Laden's second in command every other week.

Same old same old.

But if the Dems start getting their act together early with, maybe, a special convention... a platform and some decent candidates AND demands for election reform

we can be done with them all in three years.

12. Bush & Cheney will not serve out their terms
is my prediction. They will go down, the question is how much of the country will go down with them. By that I mean increased volatile political polarization that will cripple us over the next several years, perhaps longer. This political 'critical mass' I think is inevitable, am hoping we as a country can survive, finally learn from the mistakes made , and do some serious effective rebuilding of our government.

Hard rains are coming in this country, but I feel strongly that the goodness of the human spirit will prevail, and we can move forward as a more mature society, embracing our diversity as a people and committed to equality, justice and responsible government.

Note to future writers of the New American Constitution:

Secularism at all levels of Government

13. They aren't going to last three more years
There is absolutely no where for this bunch of idiots* to go, if the dems put down the popcorn get together and come up with a plan, and the candidates to carry out the plan, we will sweep this scourge away from us.
If, they don't resign in disgrace, I see impeachment and possible imprisonment for the chimp* snarlin dick.
