A friend just e-mailed this to me. Can someone, who knows how to, research this?

"Aristotle wrote in 343 BC, A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion so subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from the rulers whom they consider to be God fearing and pious."

1. According to dbquote.com, thinkexist.com and atheistalliance.org
it is a actual quote. They list the quote as follows -

"A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side."
-- Aristotle

6. True but...
Hopefully presented in a way that would not fall on deaf ears. Ofcourse right wingers would somehow spin it to mean something totally opposite of the real meaning, and the koolaid drinkers would believe them. That's been the pattern since 2000. This qoute sounds like a descripton of the 'antichrist'.

put it on bumperstickers, t-shirts, posters...anything. It won't force all people to think but it will certainly grab the attention of some.
