How is this woman supposed to get to the clinic from prison?
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The U.S. Supreme Court late Friday temporarily blocked a federal judge’s ruling that ordered Missouri prison officials to drive a pregnant inmate to a clinic on Saturday for an abortion.

Justice Clarence Thomas, acting alone, granted the temporary stay pending a further decision by himself or the full court.

Missouri state law forbids spending tax dollars to facilitate an abortion. However, U.S. District Judge Dean Whipple ruled Thursday that the prison system was blocking the woman from exercising her right to an abortion and ordered that the woman be taken to the clinic Saturday.

AND HOW THE FUCK IS CLARENCE ABLE TO PLAY SUPREME ALONE?

This is fucking forced reproduction. I bet he figures he can keep her sitting in there well past even partial birth distortion.

3. I wonder if she can get transport at any price.
If not, a clear major constitutional issue. And, I'd heard "public funds" last time not "tax dollars" which would have implied giving $50 to a cop for gas makes it public funds (who knows?). I'm ignorant of the details of the case.

And Clarence is able to do this because they rotate who gets put in this position to issue temporary stays, even to him.

And they'll let Miers do it too, eventually.

5. She will get the abortion, and someone will pay for it.
This story is great because it does something we cannot do alone.

It shows how far the right has gone with their insane attitudes about abortion. It is HER right to decide. It is not their right to deny her that right because she is incarcerated.

In the court of public opinion, this is just the kind of thing we need.
