8. which is exactly why many Americans buy into the whole
"spreading democracy" lie

it resembles America's democracy in many ways (the Bush "version" being spread in Iraq)

which doesn't speak well about America's democracy, same as it doesn't speak well of what's happening in Iraq

5. And they certainly had no input into last year's primaries ...
... when selecting the 'Cabinet' or 'Prime Minister' that we foisted upon them ... their candidates were pre-selected Friends of Bush in most cases .... a no-win situation for indigenous Iraqi's.

Makes ya' wanna :puke: that anyone dares call it 'democracy'.

It's all a pony show. If you haven't you should watch the Greg Palast segment he did about Iraq and the elections. You can see it at http://www.gregpalast.com

9. It is, indeed, a big dog and pony show about nothing.
The entire process has been designed to bogart the US's way around the Sunni opposition. You can't stack the deck and call it a victory.

The Bush administration is all about making up reasons to celebrate alleged milestones. Cut to shot of man putting ink on finger to signify voting.

Oh, the propaganda machine is busy today.

12. I wonder
how many "no" votes there will be. No out-of-the-country votes are allowed in the referendum vote.

these elections, because had the neocons' imperial designs not taken precedence over everything else, there is surely no government, but no government, which they would prefer to have in place to that former, mailed-fist despotism presided over by the man after their own heart, hand-picked, groomed and anointed by the CIA - namely, Saddam Hussein....; with Iraq living if not exactly rejoicing under,... a domestic Pax Hussein; a secular, American-puppet, pro-Western police-state regime, forming a buffer against the ambient Moslem world.

There must be geopolitics specialists in the State Department and CIA - in fact, just wiser heads (in narrow worldly terms) among imperially-inclined American leaders - tearing their hair out!
