Excuse me? What did she say?

"W.M.D. - I got it totally wrong."

Over 100,000 Iraqs have been killed, almost 2000 US troops KIA, 10,000's of people disabled for life, because Sweet Judy Brown Eyes got it wrong. Oops. No big deal. It was all for the cause after all. In the meantime, the NYT's continues to shield this criminal and her cronies. What a mess.

16. It appears the NYT is blaming it on lack of proper supervision. LOL
"Judy is a very intelligent, very pushy reporter," said Stephen Engelberg, who was Ms. Miller's editor at The Times for six years and is now a managing editor at The Oregonian in Portland. "Like a lot of investigative reporters, Judy benefits from having an editor who's very interested and involved with what she's doing."

In the year after Mr. Engelberg left the paper in 2002, though, Ms. Miller operated with a degree of autonomy rare at The Times.

Douglas Frantz, who succeeded Mr. Engelberg as investigative editor, recalled that Ms. Miller once called herself "Miss Run Amok."

goddam freepers pigs gloat about individuality and private initiative but as soon as there's trouble, they hide behind the wall of some innocent institution which has generations of history behind it....the same thing with the crooks at enron etc (though a few have been nailed for going too far)...they claim the rights of individuals while acting as massive organizations, then when trouble, they hide their massive rip offs behind the facade of the corporation.....

Fear sells papers and Judy peddled fear. War sells papers and Judy peddled the lies that led us into war.

I'm sure the NYT was happy to side with the administration. They were eager to do whatever they could to get away from the "liberal media" label. NO doubt there were plenty of fringe benefits for NYT cor.p, too.

3) Believing my own eyes and ears while reading

information needed to make an informed decision

It's like a Monty Python sketch, I swear--there's one where there's a mass murderer whose defense is exactly that, "I'm very, very sorry. I did a very bad thing. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time going over my sordid crimes..." By the end, of course, the jury and judge love him, they give him a suspended sentence, and they sing him out with a rousing chorus of "For He's A Jolly Good Fellow..."

40. OMG: Here's Judy's version (Bring a barf bag)
My Four Hours Testifying in the Federal Grand Jury Room

By JUDITH MILLER
Published: October 16, 2005

In July 2003, Joseph C. Wilson IV, a former ambassador, created a firestorm by publishing an essay in The New York Times that accused the Bush administration of using faulty intelligence to justify the war in Iraq. The administration, he charged, ignored findings of a secret mission he had undertaken for the Central Intelligence Agency - findings, he said, that undermined claims that Iraq was seeking uranium for a nuclear bomb.

It was the first time Mr. Wilson had gone public with his criticisms of the White House. Yet he had already become a focus of significant scrutiny at the highest levels of the Bush administration.

Almost two weeks earlier, in an interview with me on June 23, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby, discussed Mr. Wilson's activities and placed blame for intelligence failures on the C.I.A. In later conversations with me, on July 8 and July 12, Mr. Libby, who is Mr. Cheney's top aide, played down the importance of Mr. Wilson's mission and questioned his performance.

My notes indicate that well before Mr. Wilson published his critique, Mr. Libby told me that Mr. Wilson's wife may have worked on unconventional weapons at the C.I.A.

60. Judy Miller needs to get a job doing something ...
for which she's qualified. Like raking leaves. But I hear she already tried that and got hurt when she fell out of a tree.

61. Is this her 'Mea Culpa'?
If so, it's not good enough!

She has blood on her hands for her complicity in this, especially for not being forthright and truthful to her readership.

Guess she stands for the mega-plex that is the media these days and I hope it haunts her conscience for the rest of her life.

65. The ultimate insult
to my limited intelligence is, she said she didn't get the name "'Flame" from Libby. And she can't remember who else she talked to or got the name from.

She really dumm. Must post regularly on the Freeper board. Maybe Fitz can help her out.

Your colleages warned you about it at the time- and you wouldn't listen.

Don't try to blame it on "your sources."

77. I still want to see the press
listed as co-conspirators in all this. I believe it's the only way to have a free press without the fairness doctrine. Put their butts on the line when issuing propaganda.

No Judy, we're not buying your crap. You didn't "get it wrong", you intentionally misled. You are a co-conspirator of this illegal war. You should be in jail for the rest of your miserable life.

84. Judith Miller & Laurie Mylorie, pouring it on thick for years.
They teamed up once prior to the first Gulf War, and wrote 'Saddam Hussein & the Crisis in the Gulf', a classic you can find littering the used paperback sections of 2nd hand bookstores across America.

I put both of these 'ladies' in roughly the same category. Propagandists.

They both know exactly what they are doing; shaping public opinion to support a war that has no reality-based reason to happen.

But it sells papers, sells their crappy books, and makes Carlyle, Halliburton, GE and the other big stakes players in the Complex very happy.

I have zero sympathy for 'Judy'.

85. "I did the best job that I could"
The epitaph of a jackass.

So, Ms. Miller, you're saying that you made a boo-boo? And because of your credulous reporting, public opinion coalesced around a disastrous decision that has killed thousands, maimed thousands more, wasted billions of dollars from our Treasury, further destabilized a particularly volatile region of the world, increased the danger of terrorist attacks for people around the globe, and now, two and half years later, you're telling us "oops"?

And all because your "sources" were wrong? Did you talk to Scott Ritter? Mohammed El Baradei (perhaps you remember him, just won the Nobel Prize)? Any of the millions of people marching in the streets the world over? Or were you gulled by someone you never talked to, an unidentified man in a baseball cap a hundred yards away, walking back and forth and pointing at the ground?

You know something, Ms. Miller? Fuck you. That's what. Just . . . fuck you.

86. No, she's lying. Anyone spending any significant amt of time
on studying whether WMD's were really there KNEW the truth. She obviously spent a lot of time on the subject.

People often admit failings right before it goes public big time.

I think this is just her attempt at damage control.
