member, NOT to say anything derogatory to the Commander In Chief! My son was in the Navy for 16 years, and is now working on a Navy civilian contract. I asked HIM if he believes the BS about all the military in Iraq have high morale. He said NO! But you'll never hear it until they're back home and out of the military! Same as Vietnam!!!

18. A question about Bush's play with the troops.

I am curious as to why Bush goes to his base when his ratings fall? Wouldn't be logical to go to the public in general, that is the ones who are disapproving.

.....those of us who don't agree with him, there's not really much he could say to change our minds or get us to trust him more.

And really, public speaking is not a talent he possesses. I mean, when he speaks he doesn't use convincing arguments to bring someone to his side. Mostly he just says what he thinks and then he gives a look as if to say.....I don't understand why you don't get this.

25. His staging is losing the Mainstream voter.

I can not remember if Bush has ever sat in the oval office and talked to America. I have felt that any president who sits and just looks in the camera is looking the American voter straight in the eye and being honest with him or her. I am not naive to say he is, but you know what I mean. At least when he does that I feel there is a measure of respect he has for the public. Bush by is staging is losing the one thing AMericans want in their leaders, respect.

Several times he mentioned that we Dems needed "moderation".

People at meeting asked him if he and others in DC were aware of anti-Iraq march that weekend, and he answered that they were.

You're right, Guy. Americans want secure border, jobs, fair tax laws.
