2. It was a flop
As soon as Farrakhan made a theatrical entrance with his phony army (did you see the real law enforcement laughing in the background?) I knew right away this was going to be a spectacle.

3. Numbers don't matter? There were 1.8 million people there
About three times as many as in attendance for the anti war rally 9-23.

4. A success by whom standards?

I don't get the motive behind this poll. How could it have been anything but successful?

The speakers spoke of the issues we here at DU support.
They had great performers.
There were tens of thousands of people.
C-SPAN actually covered the entire event.
And although there were not many white people, some did show. People of all races came together today!

I can only imagine repukes seeing this as bad.

So, what part of it wasn't a success?

5. Good question, what is the motivation behind this poll?
Considering the loaded and biased wording of the questions, I have my ideas about the motive.

7. Considering some of the positions he's taken before...
...I am thrilled that Farrakhan is meetings with the GLBT community, hispanics, and otherwise expanding the message to one of inclusive social justice. That, and the fact that there were more than a million and a half...success.
