Accidentally keyed in $600 (which is what I wanted) but thought the limit was $500. Figured the machine would just beep at me and remind me of the limit, but nope, I was happily surprised when it coughed up the dough! So...are there new limits? Does it depend on the bank, the atm, the area, what?

This was a BB&T atm in Arlington VA. I went to the BB&T site but didn't find any info on ATM limits.

2. Yes, it depends on the bank. No laws on that.
