13. Yep, remember Brownie? He resigned but was kept on the payroll
to investigate himself. How screwed up was that?

Hope these resignations are the real deal (but I'm not holding my breath on that).

18. Wasn't that the case with Perle as well?
Yeah, they all become consultants and stay off the news ....for a while.
For now, I'll just enjoy the word association: mmmmm, indictment!

28. Yep, same thing with Perle...
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- One of the Pentagon's top civilian advisers resigned Thursday, saying he wanted to defuse a controversy over charges he stood to profit from the war in Iraq.

Richard Perle resigned as chairman of the Defense Policy Board, an independent group that advises Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. But he will remain on the board at Rumsfeld's request.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/03/27/perle.resigns/

It looks like they either resign **wink-nudge-wink** and fly under the radar or resign and get medals.

10. The dems
The dems need to get all the mug shots of Delay, Rove, Libby, Abramof, and possibly Frist and use them in 06 and 08 campaign ads.

If they don't take advantage of this opportunity...

What a brilliant writer she is. I particularly liked the last part of her essay.

In fact, every one of us comes into this world naked and helpless, and most leave it in the same condition -- and we are dependent on one another every single day in between. The "stand on your own feet and take care of yourself" attitude the right wing keeps pushing is not only cruel, but stupid, too.

Rock on, Molly! :headbang:

reported early this morning on Time's site, and on Rawstory. A couple threads have greater detail. But it seems to follow a discussion started on Hardball on Friday, questioning if Bush would be forced to fire them.

33. but the timing of the news stations announcements within
minutes of each other is interesting. it's not like they all just read the articles just recently and agreed to air the news within minutes of each other. it must be a more significant news item they are referring to, but don't want to completely disclose yet.

I don't even want to think what it would be like if the indictments don't happen. MTP panel of lawyers this morning reached consensus that there would be no report if there are no indictments. Just don't even want to think about it NOT happening. It would be worse than the elections (sorry, appointments) for me.

See how long some of the Watergate criminals remained in power after the lid was blown off.

See how long Ollie North and his cronies were still around even after the trials in 1987. It's sickening.

and the White House is already in a shambles with everyone cutting each others throats at the moment.

The next week is going to be an ugly time for this gang.

Don't kid yourselves that Rove is going to be influencing much of anything anymore. The gig is up.

44. Remember people
this is all about Perception Management - Spin, brainworm, whatever..

What's everyone going to be saying around the coffee machine on Monday?

"Oh, looks like Rove will leave the White House if he's Indicted.."

NOT

"Hey ROVE MAY BE GOING TO JAIL. HE COULD BE FROG MARCHED FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.."

Here's what I'm waiting for.. "Can't do it! It will create a 'Constitutional Crisis'" or some rot like that repeated endlessly..

FRAME the Issue. Say it Five Times and it's TRUE. Fire up the Echo Chamber -- "The Criminalization of Politics.."

now THAT term will be DRILLED into your mind.. take a shot of booze each time you Hear "The Criminalization of Politics.." in the future and you'll be drunk before you get out of bed and get to your coffee maker..

Symbolman Prediction :)

It's always about perception with this cabal. Throw some lower level WH names out there, and tie their face to the scandal. The sheeple will eat it up. As usual. Don't mind the man behind the curtain.

Now if "Go fuck yourself" Cheney is indicted, that would be most interesting.
