How To Attend A March - For Democratic Politicians
First of all, fire whatever uncreative bastard is responsible for your not having attended either of the two most recent biggest protests assembled since Viet Nam. If they couldn't think of what I'm about to say, they aren't fit to be advising you/writing your speeches/whatever. If you are the one responsible, then you're fired, you chickenshit asscovering end-of-your-career politician.

Next, GO TO THE NEXT MARCH. I know ANSWER is going to be there, get over it. Make SURE you get to speak. Then, say something along the lines of the following:

"I'm going to be up front with you here. I don't agree with everything some of the people are saying here today/tonight/this morning. But that's not a problem for me, because this is America. In America, we embrace diversity because it is our strength. Diversity is not something to fear or to cower away from. Diversity is NOT a flaw. It is the reason our country is still here today.

However, I am not here to point out our differences. I am here to say what all of us here know: there's something wrong with what this administration is doing with our country. Everyone here knows that. That's why we aren't sitting at home with our feet up right now. There's something wrong and we HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

"

If you do fire your speech writer, I'm broke as hell would love to get paid for writing obvious solutions like this for you. Offer me some of that corporate cash you're wasting.

4. Thanks.
I don't think petitions go very far outside of where they're required for something else. I would hope that having nearly two million people marching to the capital would carry a little more weight. Thanks, though.

5. Another idea then:
Make it a LTTE. Our dem reps need to know that we are not happy with them. Also write it up & send to your dem reps. Heck, maybe you'll even get a job, huh?
