Judith Miller is the Harriet Miers of journalism ?

Attempting to read Ms. Miller's accounting of the CIA leak this morning, I was scratching my head trying to figure out what she said. Unless you can interpret what was omitted, she did not say much at all. However, one small point did stick out in my mind. She says when she left the meeting at the Aspen Institute, she went up to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Why did she go to Wyoming? Who lives in Wyoming? Who invited her? And does Libby live there also or was he also an invitee? I was not able to cull much of anything from her scribblings...

Who speaks out of the side of his mouth, and mumbles his words?

Who could say the phrase VALERIE PLAME, and it would come out sounding like VALERIE FLAME?

Who is of sufficient stature that a lowly reporter might not ask for the spelling of the name, something ordinarily a reporter does as naturally as breathing????

3. Judy was keeping the connected aspens from turning

into a bonfire of the vanities. Judy doesn't recall who told her something she felt compelled to write down. The most interesting thing is why was she so determined to keep the special prosecutor limited in his inquiries. If it's all about reporting the truth, then you know why Judy was there in the midst of this.

6. You are so right ! What amazed me totally was her inability

to remember anything. I mean, it was only a couple years ago. She's a freakin reporter. You would think that they would have steel trap minds.
