I've probably watched that movie 5 or 6 times...but, it was way back...I rented it this weekend and had a totally different view of it...given that we are living through another WATERGATE.

I'm trying to clue in our "Newbies" who might have seen this movie before but not put it into "context" because it seemed "OLD" even if you enjoyed it.

Look at the role the GSA Acccounting Services took in this movie....look between the lines of the "slick narrative" and try to focus on that THIS IS THE SAME...but a "New and Improved Version of Watergate" ...the stuff we are dealing with here with Bush & Co. Crime Family Today.

If you do NOTHING ELSE! RENT THAT MOVIE...and PARSE...PARSE...PARSE.

We couldn't Clean out the "Nest of Criminal Vipers Way Back Then" but, OMG!!! we have a second chance, here. Will they GET AWAY WITH IT AGAIN?

If they DO! It's the END OF AMERICA.

Please...RENT IT AND WATCH IT FOR THE NUANCES! PLEASE!!!!!

It's ALL THERE! What they've been doing to us...it's in that movie...but cleverly packaged so that you only focus on the acting qualities of WOODSTEIN...which are incredible...but it's the DIALOG...LISTEN TO THE DIALOG IN THIS MOVIE!

12. Thank you ! I hate to shout and stomp feet...but folks need

to DO IT! Seeing it NOW is like seeing it for the first time!

And, even if a person still "doesn't GET IT" it's entertaining and timely enough that you won't feel cheated.

But, it's the dialog...it's what the connections are. And, one realizes that after "Woodstein" no one else really did any true "investigative reporting." And even then...they were fed their info...but I give them credit for the "footwork" that the lazy folks who replaced them don't bother to do these days. Just look at the reporters for WaPo and NYT's.

Where are the Woodsteins? Name me one. Maybe you could count Miller meeting Libby in the St. Regis Hotel or in Jackson Hole in Wyoming as being like Woodward meeting Deep Throat in that Parking Garage...but I'd say Miller was a "Steno" like the rest of the Media Whores.

I think after "Woodstein" the press caved. They had brought down a President and the "Dark Forces" assembled to make sure it wouldn't ever happen again. Even Woodward got bought out (look at his recent books as the only official "Court Biographer" to the "Little Emperor." Bernstein has gone through wives and bottles of liquor in that time. It's easy to see that the "Dems" always get the stress. Remember that Woodward was a "declared Repug." :-(

11. Yep, --- I Feel the Same Way

Yes, I've just read "The Secret Man" and certainly concur with your feelings. As a matter of fact, I remember speaking with my mother the day after election 2004. I told her this reminds me of 1972, and I really don't think this administration is going to make it for another four years. Maybe I'm a little optimistic, but it's beginning to look as though I was correct. I hope so, ----- I love being correct.
