Pirro hits up Hillary for money to battle Hillary
ALBANY, N.Y. — This is one check that definitely won’t be in the mail.

In an Aug. 19 fundraising letter, Jeanine Pirro told potential supporters of her race to unseat Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, “I cannot win without your support.”

Pirro sent one of those appeals to:

Hillary Clinton
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, D.C. 20500-0030

That, of course, is the White House where Clinton used to be first lady.

The Pirro letter came to light just three days after the Westchester County district attorney reported raising $438,555 for the three-month period ending Sept. 30 in her bid for the GOP nomination to challenge Clinton’s 2006 re-election effort. Clinton reported raising $5.3 million.

“No wonder Ms. Pirro raised so little money,” quipped Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson on Monday.

1. Wasn't Pirro the one with the infamous pregnant pause and Page 10??
I've never seen a more amateur campaign. That is just embarrassing.

2. That's her...
Man, talk about not being able to handle ANYTHING that isn't scripted. A gifted politician (of any party) would have been able to continue speaking with the majority of the crowd oblivious to anything. Miss Pirro is sooooo out of her league.

4. Pirro is so incompetent...
Remember during her speech when she launched her campaign, she lost some of the pages to her speech?

And then she asks Hillary for money to run against her?

5. Here is the explanation from the Pirro campaign
" Pirro campaign manager Brian Donahue said the fundraising appeal was sent because someone registered the information on Pirro’s campaign Web site."

Maybe someone typed that in as a joke.

6. Lazio was at least competent and Hillary shredded him
I can just imagine what the results are going to be between her and Pirro.....and also take into consideration that last I checked Hillary's approval numbers are not exactly low..

7. In most states, and in most parties...
A candidate would need to go through a primary process, forcing them to show their campaigning and fundtraising powess (an "off-Broadway preview" if you will). Too bad the NY Republicans don't believe in them...
