Has Fitz uncovered the Office of Special Plans
in his investigation and has plans to bring that illegal bunch to justice also? They were connected to the false intelligence, Cheney, and the Plame investigation.

spoke too soon:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of_Special_Plans

"n an interview with the Scottish Sunday Herald, former CIA officer Larry Johnson said the OSP was "dangerous for US national security and a threat to world peace. lied and manipulated intelligence to further its agenda of removing Saddam. It's a group of ideologues with pre-determined notions of truth and reality. They take bits of intelligence to support their agenda and ignore anything contrary. They should be eliminated." (Mackay, 2003)

Seymour Hersh writes that, according to an unnamed Pentagon adviser, " was created in order to find evidence of what Wolfowitz and his boss, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, believed to be true—that Saddam Hussein had close ties to Al Qaeda, and that Iraq had an enormous arsenal of chemical, biological, and possibly even nuclear weapons that threatened the region and, potentially, the United States."

oh, that office of special plans.

This is getting a little to encouraging. Could we be looking at indictments for leading us to war under false pretenses?

That would just make my year!

5. They worked under Doug Feith and stovepiped
the bogus intel up through Feith's office to Cheney.

Then apparently the WHIG took that info and sold it to the American public through Miller at the NYT.

14. Let me add to that encouragement...
If Fitzgerald would tenaciously go after the Chicago city hall for hiring fraud practices & the Illinois governor for doling out favors to friends for money/vacation, we can expect him to go after those who concocted an illegal war.

See this link for PBS video about Fitzgerald

2. Well the OSP and the WHIG did work hand in hand, so I would
say it's entirely possible and plausible.

6. IIRC the OSP was basically the propaganda arm..
WHIG fixed the intelligence and OSP pushed it on the American People.

10. You have it backward.
OSP sifted the intel and WHIG sold it to the people through Miller.

... and WHIG pulled it out of the CIA 'laundry' - with full knowledge it was tailor-made.

new people came in to sift the intel and the old people were moved out. She has quite a story to tell.

Sy Hersh wrote a piece about the Office of Special Plans a couple of years ago.

13. I agree
They all worked together and for the same person. Cheney and thus Bush. Bush was just as involved in any of them. Remember that in 2003 in that union address he did he used the Niger claim but he was told not to but he did it anyways. This showed me how he more than likely was involved. Maybe not doing the dirty work but knew and let it happen. Why else has he not fired Karl Rove? Bush= Karl and Karl= Bush.

17. That's an even bigger crime.
There are witnesses to it and if there was no visible payroll, heads can roll big-time if Fitz has discovered it existed.

19. Why would they have a visible payroll for this back room outfit
that they wanted to use without oversight? I mean, it's wrong, it's illegal, but don't you think they didn't want this office for anyone else's eyes/ears?

BTW did you see the lie factory post above?

20. I hope so, we uncovered them here at DU around 3 years ago
didn't we? Even though they changed their name, I doubt Fitz has overlooked them. Feith is the one I really want to see with some indictments. He is a slime.
